Name, email, phone and what you are packing and the finish you have in mind. Attach artwork if you have it. We reply with a specification and a written price, usually within one business day.
For anything heavy, the fitment has to transfer load into the walls rather than let it sit on the base. That is a structural decision, not a cosmetic one.
Presentation Boxes are built from greyboard wrapped in a printed or specialty paper, assembled by hand so the walls stay rigid and the lid holds its shape.
Presentation Boxes hold a sample set, an award, or a high-value single item that is handed over rather than shipped to a shelf. That is the starting point for the specification, because for anything heavy, the fitment has to transfer load into the walls rather than let it sit on the base. That is a structural decision, not a cosmetic one.
In service they are used for client handovers, awards and sales sample sets, where the box is opened in front of the person it was made for.

Where a product needs to be held still, a fitted insert cut to its profile does more for damage rates than a heavier outer board. It usually costs less too, because you can drop a grade on the outer.
Rigid board with a wrapped litho sheet and a foam or board fitment sized to the contents.
The options we would consider for this format are below; for anything heavy, the fitment has to transfer load into the walls rather than let it sit on the base. That is a structural decision, not a cosmetic one.
Cut to the contents with deliberate clearance — a presentation piece needs visible space around it, unlike a retail carton where clearance reads as waste.
Send the contents rather than a box size. Rigid construction is assumed to mean strong construction. Rigid is about finish; load still has to be carried by the fitment and the base board.
Four things drive a quote more than anything else: the quantity, the print route, the board grade and the number of finishing passes. Dimensions matter too, but usually through how efficiently the shape nests on the press sheet.
Prices start from $0.30 per piece for large-volume orders. If a cheaper route exists we say so at quoting rather than after the invoice.
Blind emboss or foil on a matt wrap. Under the lighting these are usually opened in, texture reads and gloss glares.
Each finish below is a separate pass on the press or the finishing line, which is why they are quoted individually rather than bundled.
Foil, soft-touch and deboss all read differently in person than on a screen, so we recommend a printed prototype rather than a digital proof alone for anything finish-led.
Sample costs are normally credited against the production order.
Tell us what goes inside, how many you need and when. Those three answers are enough for us to specify and price the job properly.
A dieline template follows, then a proof. For finish-led work we usually recommend a physical prototype at this point, because foil and soft-touch do not read accurately on screen.

The base bows under a heavy item because a rigid box looks strong and a wrapped chipboard base is not, on its own, structural.

Specification, minimums and lead times for presentation boxes.
Rigid handles real weight, but the fitment has to carry it into the walls rather than resting it on the base — that is what stops the bottom bowing. Tell us the weight at quoting and we will specify the base board and the fitment together.
Rarely without compromise. A box built to present is not built to survive a carrier network alone. A presentation box inside a plain protective outer usually costs less overall than one box trying to do both.
Yes. Minimum is 100 units on any format, which suits a seeding wave well. Give us the send date rather than asking for a lead time and we will work backwards to the latest artwork approval that still lands.
Because they are hand-assembled rather than machine-glued, and because the wrap, corner finish and interior lining are each separate operations. They also ship assembled rather than flat, which raises freight. The trade is a structure that feels substantially different in the hand.
Ones that read from arm’s length. Soft-touch lamination and deboss change how the whole pack reads; a small foil detail often does not survive the distance between shelf and eye. We quote each pass separately so you can judge.
On offset and flexo we hold the ink formulation, which gives a tight match run to run. Digital has a wider tolerance. If exact consistency across repeat runs matters more than short-run economics, we will quote the litho route.
Yes, which is part of why their freight cost is higher than a folding carton. Collapsible rigid constructions exist and ship flatter, at some cost to the feel of the finished box.
Send the current specification or a physical sample and we will quote to match it rather than proposing an alternative you would then have to re-approve internally. Send the physical box rather than a photograph. Wrap stock, corner finish and interior lining are what make a rigid box feel the way it does, and none of them photograph.
All 50 US states, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, on the same timeline everywhere: 3 to 5 business days of production after artwork approval, then 5 to 7 business days in transit. Every run is made to order and shipped directly to your address rather than pulled from stock, so you receive current production rather than whatever has been sitting in a warehouse. Freight is costed separately by weight, volume and destination. If you are shipping to a fulfilment centre rather than your own address, send their receiving requirements with the order — pallet height and labelling rules are usually fixed and refusals are expensive.
Every run is cut to your dimensions — there are no stock sizes here. Send the product measurements rather than a box size and we will build the rigid box around them, then send a dieline template you can design onto.
We issue a dieline template sized to your product, prepress checks your artwork against it, and a proof comes back for sign-off. Nothing runs until you approve that proof, and rigid boxes then take 3 to 5 business days.
Yes. Once a first run is approved we hold the board, structure, dimensions, print method and finishes against your account, so a reorder references the same specification exactly rather than being re-derived. That includes the ink formulation, which is what keeps a brand colour consistent between runs rather than drifting a shade each time.
